If you're a fan of hiking, spelunking and a nature lover, let's explore the beauty of KAPING WHITE STONE HILL and KAPING CAVE in Brgy. Ibabang Palale Tayabas City. It has an Instagramable and jaw-dropping view.
Kaping is a hill where the the white stones are seen everywhere. It takes 1 hour to reach the top of the hill and you'll walk 5 to 6 kilometers from Ibabang Palale's highway. It is usually visited during Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Instead of visiting churches and joining "alay-lakad",a form of worship and a tradition of Filipino Catholics, some Palalehin(people lives in palale) goes in Kaping hill and meditate the sacrifices of Jesus to save us from our sins.
If you're planning to go there, don't forget to bring your water, foods and extra shirt incase you get sweaty. You can also bring your tent or blanket. It's better when go early to watch the beauty of sunrise here. If you don't want to walk, you can use DT enduro motor, but drive safely because it has rocky and steep road. When you get the top of hill, you'll surely amaze with its view. The Pagbilao Quezon's sea and barrios of Palale can seen here. Don't forget to bring your camera and take photos with breathtaking view.
The most visited here in Kaping Hill is the Kaping Cave, this is the largest cave with 7 divisions or rooms found in Quezon Province.
This cave has a wondrous rock formations and stalactites(formations hang from the ceiling) and stalagmites(grow from the ground). Always be careful specially on your way going to the cave, there's "Giting" or peaky stones that can cause wound. Sometimes you need to climb and go down from the big rocks. So, beware of those "bioy" holes between the rocks, it's difficult to rescue when someone fell on it. Before you reach your destination cave, there is a small cave near it, where you can write down your name or group. When you finally reach the cave, you'll hear the deafening chirps of thousand of bats and definitely fascinate with the stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Bring out your headlamp or flashlight, it's really dark inside. Wanna know the thrilling part? there are small crabs and guano(feces of bats that can use as fertilizer) inside the cave. The bats from the ceiling will just drop their guano on you. But still, you'll never regret with this memorable experience on your Kaping spelunking.
