 CANTON SOTANGHON GUISADO 


Are you searching for a good dish for celebrations  that will surely love by your family and visitors? Here is a perfect dish for you "Canton Sotanghon Guisado" Filipino really love this. The deliciousness of it really make you hyper while eating. This dish serves in different occasions like birthdays and holidays. The good thing in this is we can easily find and buy the ingredients of it anywhere.


We used two types of noodles to made this kind of dish; Sotanghon and Canton Noodles. Sotanghon was a bean-thread noodles originated from China. It is also called as glass or cellophane noodles made from mug beans, yum or cassava. While Canton noodles is made with wheat floor.


The first thing you'll do is to prepare the following ingredients: 


• 1 pack canton

• 1 bundle sotanghon

• vegetables(shredded raddish and sliced bitsuelas)

• squidball

• minced garlic

• minced onions

• 3 mug of water

• salt and ground pepper

• soy sauce

• boiled quail egg

• sliced chicken


1) Soak sotanghon noodles in a bowl of water. Drain when it's became softened.

2) Prepare your pan and put some cooking oil. Saute garlic and onion. Add atleast 2 tablespoons of soy sauce.

3) Add sliced chicken or pork and cook it for 3-4 minutes. Stir it constantly to become brownish color. Then add vetsin and ground pepper.

4) Add cups of water, it's depends on the amount of canton you'll cook.

5) When the water is heated,you can put canton then stir and toss to blend with the sauteed mixture.

6)Place the boiled sotanghon with canton and sauteed mixtures to blend with it. Continue to cook until all the noodles absorbs the liquid.

7) Add squid balls, shredded vegetables, and quail egg(healthy for respiratory organs). You can also use other ingredients like shrimps, fishballs, kikiam and a variety of vegetables.

8) Lastly, remove it from the heat and transfer it on serving plate. Serve it and enjoy eating.
