How to cook ginataang dalungyan?
Did you know that DALUNGYAN is closely related to Jackfruits with it's looks? The differences between the two of this are Jackfruit's leaves are smaller than Dalungyan. The fruits of jackfruit are borne on stems from the trunk or at the branches while dalungyans are occurat the end of the brunches. Dalungyan is also called as "Kamansi" and Breadfruit in English. It is rich in minerals, energy, dietary fibers and vitamins.
To get breadfruit i climb first in a focal trunk of a coconut tree to reach it using 'gala' that is made from a bamboo with a curved-knife at the very end of the bamboo and it is usually used to get coconuts if you don't want to climb tree .
∆ Ginataang Dalungyan is a delicious Filipino vegetable dish that is made from Breadfruit or Dalungyan and coconut milk. You should try this because you will surely love this and good to your health.
This are the easy steps to cook Ginataang Dalungyan with sardines:
Ingredients:
• Dalungyan or Breadfruit
• Sardines
• Salt
• Garlic
• Ginger
• Thick or first sieve of Coconut Milk
• Thin or pure coconut milk
Procedure:
•The first you need to do is clean the Breadfruit and peel off the spiky skin of this. Sliced it and chopped into small pieces and prepare your cooking pot.
• If you are done slicing and making this into small, put it in a cooking pot or in a casserole with a medium size after you rinse the breadfruit on a clean water.
• Then you can now add in a casserole of dalungyan the sardines you prepared.
• Add salt depends on the amount of your dalungyan.
• Put the first filtrated of the coconut milk on the casserole and wait until it become boil.
• Lastly add the ginger and the garlic. Then put it on your stove.
• When it is already boiling, put the pure coconut milk.
• Wait until the dalungyan become soften and cooked. Prepare the serving plates and transfer it. Share this and enjoy eating the Ginataang dalungyan with sardines! Have a Great meal!
